With customized test solutions, the ATM core network and all its underlying entities (CWP, GRS, Recorders and Radio Gateways) can be accurately tested for timing, performance, and functionalities.

GL Communications and several GL employees recently made donations to the "Conner Bunting College Fund". Connor Bunting is the 2 year old son of Capt. Brian "Bubba" Bunting, US Army, age 29, who was killed in Kandahar, Afghanistan on February 24, 2009. Capt. Bunting's wife, Nicki, is the niece of GL employee, Chris Link.

Captain Bunting was a 2002 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and was truly one of "America's Best". We hope that our donations toward his son's future will help his family in some small way.

GL contributes a token donation to lift the spirits of Mr. Fletcher, Sales Director of Sygnus, our UK Representative in his attempt to hike to the top of Kilimanjaro - the highest free standing mountain on the planet located in Tanzania. His effort also conjoins a charity mission of raising some money for Mary's Meals - which provides a child a place at a school for a year in some of the poorest countries in the developing world. Crucially while they are at school they will also be given a hot meal, which for some kids is the only hot meal they eat.

GL wishes Mr. Fletcher all the success in his efforts of reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro, an expedition that he is undertaking for a worthy cause.

GL participates in Maryland Food Bank's virtual food drive by contributing 304.50 as a token donation. GL in doing so thinks would help sustain the work of the Maryland Food Bank in its noble cause of reaching out to children and seniors who are at risk of hunger and also other important programs that provides nutritious food to those who are in need of it.

GL communications Inc recently extends its support to "The Maryland SPCA" a voluntary organization that works for the cause of Animals in the community. GL believes its small contribution in terms of donation would add up to the efforts of The Maryland SPCA in their endeavor toward animals and people associated with it.

GL Communications recently collected donations for 2 weeks from the GL employees for the China Earthquake disaster.

We are pleased to report that $401.00 was collected for the China disaster from GL employees and that GL has added another $199.00 to that amount for a total donation of $600.00.

The $600.00 donation has been made to the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC).

We are pleased to announce that we collected $311.00 from GL employees and that GL Communications added another $189.00 to make the total donation $500.00. The $500.00 donation was split evenly between the Salvation Army and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and designated specifically for the Myanmar disaster.

On April 16, 2008 GL welcomed a visit from Connie Latham, Special Assistant to the Montgomery County, MD Executive and Katie Knowlin, Assistant Director of the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development, Division of Business Empowerment.

GL was chosen as one of the Montgomery County businesses that County Executives visited during Business Appreciation Week, April 14-18, 2008. Several ideas were exchanged during the visit and our guests were taken on a tour of the GL offices and Test Lab. After the tour, GL President, Vijay Kulkarni, presented our visitors with a framed Letter of Appreciation and gave each guest a gift (writing pen) to remember their visit to GL's office. In turn, our guests gave GL a Certificate of Recognition and Appreciation, signed by Ike Leggett, Montgomery County Executive, for being one of Montgomery County's outstanding companies. The framed Certificate is proudly displayed at GL's front reception desk.

Once again in 2008, GL is proud to have sponsored and donated to our friend and professional colleague, Matt Pollack, in his quest to run a full Marathon in the ING Georgia Marathon finishing the 26.2-mile trek through downtown Atlanta, GA in a time of 6:04.59. Matt ran in support of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's "Team in Training", an organization dedicated to finding a cure for blood diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma; and improving the quality of life of patients and their families. This is a charity that is dear to the GL family, as we lost our Co-founder, T. Bruce Yost, to Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2005.

GL China has outgrown its old office space with the addition of two more people to its team. Therefore, they all moved into a new office space in February, 2007, which is double the size of their old space and will allow room for expansion.

Not only are we thrilled to enhance the GL global community by two members, but also by the fact that this means more is required of GL Communications Inc. and thus, our products and services are in demand now more than ever.

Congratulations to GL China!

T. Bruce Yost Memorial Golf Tournament

GL Communications Inc. hosted their first T. Bruce Yost Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, October 7, 2006. The tournament was held to honor GL's late co-founder and Vice President T. Bruce Yost, who passed away in July, 2005.

43 golfers braved the cold, wind, and sometimes drenching rains at the Musket Ridge Golf Club in Myersville, Maryland to participate in playing the game that Bruce loved. The elements did not damper the spirit of the tournament, and as the pictures of the event show, the players had a great time.

Following the tournament, a barbeque was held at the club for 100 people, where the prizes for the tournament were handed out. Coming in as the first place team was Dan Matonak, Albert Miller, and Duke Martin, friends of Bruce's from his days at Baker-Wibberley and Associates. The second place prize went to Bruce's son Matt Yost, his wife Megan, and her parents, Rick and Nina Boarman. Rounding out the prizes in third place was GL employee Rob Bichefsky, his father Jordan Bichefsky, and two long time customers and friends of GL Communications, Mike McMahan and Carlos Hernandez.

Matt Yost also took home the award for longest drive, and Bruce's niece, Emily Haught, won the closest to the pin prize.

GL is hoping to make the tournament an annual event to honor Bruce, and to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help eradicate these diseases.

Donations in memory of T. Bruce Yost can be made online at http://www.Leukemia-Lymphoma.org

GL "Rep Week"

GL Communications hosted "Rep Week" May 22nd through May 25th at their corporate offices in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Rep Week Event Director, Shalu Kulkarni, organized an intensive 3-day Training Seminar for 11 GL reps from around the world. The Seminar focused on GL's new product line with hands-on demonstrations to prepare the reps to be more successful in promoting GL's products.

GL's President and CEO, Vijay Kulkarni, stressed the importance of Rep Week saying "it's very important that our reps be thoroughly trained on GL's product line in order to make the relationship beneficial to both parties. We would like to see Rep Week become an annual event to keep everyone apprised on GL's extensive and ever changing product line."

At the end of each day's sessions the sales reps were introduced to the dining and night life available in the Washington, DC metro area by several of GL's employees.

Rep Week ended with a "Farewell Pizza Party" at the GL office with the sales reps and all of GL's employees attending. Many of the reps commented that they enjoyed finally getting to meet the GL staff that they frequently email or speak with on the phone, and also getting familiar with GL products with the GL staff and expertise right there to train and assist them in a "one on one" situation.
