Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) Design Engineer

Location : GL INDIA - Bangalore

Job Description :

  • B.E. in Electronic & Communication Engineering or related field with a minimum of 60% aggregate
  • 2 to 8 years of experience in VHDL coding for both RTL and test bench
  • Proficient in digital design using FPGAs, preferably Xilinx FPGAs
  • Familiar with FPGA design and verification flow
  • Good in using Xilinx's Vivado
  • Familiar with Vivado simulators
  • Familiar with debug tools like Xilinx ILA
  • Knowledge of telecom/networking domain protocols is an added advantage
  • Experience in timing analysis
  • Experience in RTL design for high-speed design
  • Good communication skills

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and test FPGA designs for a variety of applications, including Ethernet MAC, Ethernet PHY, GMII, RGMII, AXI4-Stream, MDIO, I2C, DDR2/DDR3/DDR4, PCIe, SPI, FIFOs, and BRAM
  • Write VHDL code for both RTL and test bench
  • Work with digital design using FPGAs, preferably Xilinx FPGAs
  • Follow the FPGA design and verification flow
  • Use Xilinx's Vivado and Vivado simulators for design and simulation
  • Use debug tools like Xilinx ILA
  • Analyze timing for high-speed designs
  • Collaborate with other engineers and team members to ensure the successful completion of projects
  • Keep up-to-date with new technologies and techniques in the field of FPGA design

Senior Systems Engineer/Project Manager

Location : GL USA - Gaithersburg, MD

Job Description

Responsible for Engineering design, planning and project management for mid to large transit infrastructure deployments. Supports system assessment efforts; Preliminary and Final Design Reviews; Systems implementation and migration efforts; Systems interface/integration/testing; documenting the pre-implementation conditions of vehicles and facilities; Implement Configuration Management process; Conducts and facilitates inspection and testing; logging and reporting daily project activities; work with other engineers, system analysts, programmers, technicians, and managers for existing systems evaluation and system upgrades.

Experience in the following subjects is highly beneficial:

Qualifications:

  • MBA Preferred

Salary Range: $90,000 - $91,000 Annually (package includes excellent full-time job benefits)

Professional Engineer

Location : GL USA - Gaithersburg, MD

Job Description

GL Communications is seeking a certified Professional Engineer in electrical engineering discipline to assist and lead current and future consulting projects. Prior experience with Transit Systems, including Automatic Train Control (ATC) or Railroad Signaling is preferred but not required. This position will require daily interaction and discussion with GL clients and therefore strong communication skills are required. The individual should have prior experience leading projects involving design and construction management/project management to successful conclusion. Fiber Optic Field Inspector/Technician

Job Description

  • Able to interpret and understand Fiber Optic Design Packages, containing installation drawings and detailed splice matrices.
  • Monitor and inspect contractors during fiber optic installations and splicing.
  • Knowledge and experience with Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) testing. Able to review OTDR test results performed by others.
  • Knowledge and experience with Optical Loss Test Set (OLTS) testing. Able to review OLTS test results performed by others.
  • Some experience performing OSP fiber optic cable splicing is a plus.

Job Description

GL Communications Inc. is seeking a Systems Field Inspector that can perform systems inspection/field engineering duties on various transit projects in the Baltimore, MD area. A strong knowledge of fiber based communications systems and equipment installations is required. The person will oversee and document contractor field installations and maintenance operations on various transit projects. A knowledge of industry standard installation practices and methods is required.
